| Just after the new year 06', one of the little girls who lives near me came crying to my front door with a lost kitten. She knew I would take him in and care for him, and take him in I did. "Monkey Boy" ate well, learned to not shred the couch, he even learned to tell me when nature called and he needed out. He taught me how to climb the &^/!%)( out of a tree near where I live. We instantly bonded, but I knew in the end, I would not be able to keep him. Relinguishing the animal to County Animal Control was NOT AN OPTION. Doing the responsible thing, I began a quest to find an acceptable Animal Rescue. After 1/2 a million phone calls, I reached Patti Martin with Furry Critters Animal Rescue and Rehab... Located in Central Orange County. So away Monkey Boy and I went into the night to find his foster mom. Patti has got to be one of the most enthusiastic fur people I have ever met. She is extremely Knowledgeable in animal diseases, Special Needs Animals, Rehab, and Stringent Adoption Practices. Furry Critters currently has several feral cats within their charge. Patti tells me, with time and patience, those same animals may make someone a good pet one day. I have seen the animals and heard their tales. Some beaten, some injured, some abandoned... Though all at different stages, they are all healthy and happy and on their way to being well adjusted and to become someones's loving pet and companion. Please, If for any reason you must give up your pet, or find a stray or injured animal... Contact Furry Critters. They are the first and last line of defense against strays, overpopulation, and euthanasia Furry Critters Patti Martin (714) 401-3379 or on the web @ www.FURRYCRITTERS.org |
